She has more than 18 years of paediatric experience, with 12 years just caring for new babies. In that time she has acquired extensive experience in caring for infants, from critically unwell babies in emergency and intensive care settings, to running long-term health and developmental clinics.

As a mother herself, she understands the joyful, exciting and overwhelming journey that becoming a parent can be. She has a particular interest in supporting families as they adjust to the challenges of a newborn, general paediatric issues such as asthma and eczema, growth, nutrition and weight management, and the management of children with complex medical needs.

Her focus is on patient-centred care, and working with other healthcare professionals to support children and their families. She practices patient-centred care, empowering children and their families to be part of their own healthcare journeys. He obtained his general adult surgical fellowship in He has recently finished after 11 years as an Examiner in Paediatric Surgery.

He is a keen teacher, involved with teaching junior doctors, undergraduate students as well as nursing and other staff. SPECIAL INTERESTS: His surgical interests include general paediatric surgery including circumcision , hypospadias, minimally invasive surgery keyhole surgery for both the abdomen and chest, gastroesophageal reflux surgery, oncological surgery and antenatal consultations for foetal malformations.

During this period, she completed a Doctor of Medicine, the topic of her thesis was insulin resistance in type 1 diabetes. Since returning to Sydney in she has been working in private practice and for the government at Therapeutic Goods Administration where she heads the clinical unit which evaluates medicines used in endocrinology, diabetes, fertility, gynaecology and other areas.
