Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday , the succeeding Monday shall be observed as the holiday. When any of the above noted holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday or the preceding Friday will be declared a day off with pay. If any designated holiday recognized in Section 1 of this Article falls on Sunday , it shall be celebrated on the following Monday.
If any such holiday falls on Saturday, it shall be celebrated on the preceding Friday ; provided , however, that if an employee 's regular workweek includes Saturday work , such employee shall celebrate the holiday on Saturday. If a holiday falls on Sunday , Monday shall be considered the holiday ; if a holiday falls on Saturday , the parties will mutually agree on the day for the celebration of the holiday.
